CPD on Retreat with Path to Practice

Our retreats are designed so your CPD doesn't feel like “another training day”. Instead, it is woven gently through the rhythm of your stay.

You will leave with 8 hours of CPD to log towards your annual requirements, along with certificates that are suitable for membership body audit purposes.

You will also leave with a deeper sense of connection to yourself as a practitioner and confidence within your practice.

Our CPD workshops are thoughtfully planned, and rooted in ethical, contemporary counselling practice.

Experiential learning, not PowerPoint marathons

Across the retreat you will take part in a programme of CPD activities.

These are timetabled so you know exactly what counts towards your hours, for example:

- Experiential workshops
- Facilitated reflective spaces
- Peer skills practice sessions

We also often add in sound baths, gentle movement classes, yoga, mindful crafting, silent book clubs, film nights and more to dip in and out of too at no extra cost.

The value of retreat based CPD

When you step out of your usual routine, it becomes possible to see your practice with fresh eyes.

On a Path to Practice retreat you can expect to:

- Reconnect with why you began this work in the first place

- Leave with practical tools, creative ideas and prompts you can use with clients and in supervision

- Feel more resourced, grounded and confident about the way you work

- Attend 8 meaningful hours of CPD that truly support your practice, rather than just ticking the box

The CPD elements of the retreat are suitable for:

- Qualified counsellors in private practice or agency settings

- Therapists returning to practice who want a gentle, structured way to reconnect with the work

- Trainee counsellors in the later stages of training who feel ready to deepen their practice in a retreat environment

You simply need to be openminded towards reflective, experiential learning amongst likeminded practitioners.

Here are some examples of the kind of CPD you might find on your retreat

No 'death by powerpoint', No uncomfortable spotlight. Just a small circle of likeminded counsellors learning and refreshing in a beautiful environment.

Weaving It All Together

Across the retreat these creative sessions are held within a framework of ethics, supervision and real world practice. You are not just trying things for the sake of it.

You are:

- Building skills you can take back to your therapy room
- Deepening your self knowledge as a practitioner
- Collecting 8 meaningful hours of CPD that are suitable for audit and genuinely useful for your ongoing work

All with cosy friendly vibes, indulgent food, stunning countryside views and plenty of “you” time in between.
