Retreat Itinerary for Counsellors & Therapists
At Path to Practice, our carefully designed itineraries gently balance experiential CPD workshops with restorative downtime, giving counsellors and therapists the chance to learn, relax, share and recharge.
Each retreat offers a blend of professional development workshops, creative exploration, wellbeing sessions and time to connect with peers at a leisurely pace.
This page gives you a taste of what to expect by way of examples and sample itineraries.
From mindful mornings to enriching workshops and relaxed evenings, you can picture the flow of your retreat experience in the beautiful UK countryside.

Arrive in good time to settle into your room, explore the country house and grounds, letting the outside world melt away.
We’ll come together for a warm group welcome and a beautifully unhurried afternoon tea experience, easing into retreat life and meeting your fellow attendees.
Later, we’ll begin our first CPD workshop, setting the tone for the days ahead with creative exploration and gentle reflection.
Afterwards, enjoy some free time before our group evening meal, followed by perhaps some stargazing from the hot tub or cosying up with a hot chocolate and a film.

Days 2 and 3 begin with a gentle breakfast at your own pace, perhaps after some gentle movement or a yoga class.
We then gather for our second and third CPD workshops, designed to spark insight, deeply explore your world and share in a relaxed, supportive space.
After some free time, enjoy our buffet-style lunch before joining an optional mindful crafting activity in the afternoon.
The rest of the days are yours to do as much or as little as you like - explore the local area, read or journal, craft, share a board game or even play snooker before we come together again for a wholesome group dinner each evening.
Evenings are for unwinding - perhaps a movie night, a soak in the hot tub, or quiet conversation by firelight.
